As a member of the Trinity University community, you are encouraged to prepare for emergency situations by doing the following:
- Be familiar with life safety procedures in the event of an emergency. Types of emergencies to prepare for may include severe weather and natural disasters, active threats, building fires/infrastructure issues, and accidents related to hazardous materials among other threats and hazards.
- Make a plan of action ahead of time with your roommates and coworkers.
- Assemble an emergency go-kit with some essentials, such as bottled water, snacks, first aid supplies, medications, flashlight, and other items you may need should you have to evacuate quickly. Check out the Texas Ready website for a full list of items to consider.
- Know how to report suspicious activity to campus authorities – if you see something, say something!
- Stay informed by registering to receive TrinAlert emergency notifications.
- Download the Trinity safety app called “See Say,” which is a powerful tool that allows users to call and interact with TUPD or report a crime on or around campus.
